Leahy Beekeeping are Beekeepers on the Sliabh Aughty Mountains SPA. Our hives are in various locations on the mountain, which is a mix of wild rugged mountain and good farming land. A large proportion of the mountain is now designated as a Special Protection Area. The mix of farming land and rugged mountain give us diverse range of flora specialised for the peaty and limestone soils, all natural for the bees.

POTS OF GOLD
The combination of the fantastic landscape and flora gives our honey a unique and pure flavour. Our honey is 100% raw, single filtered and unpasteurized it retains all of the pollens, antibacterial and medicinal properties.

Our natural skincare products are made from the beeswax from our own hives and other natural organic ingredients. They soften and moisturize. The creams have good healing properties and medicinal values.

BEE experience & TOURS
Visit the Sliabh Aughty farm to experience the inner workings of a hive, the process of honey making and sample their quality products. Learn about the importance of the bees in the eco-system and food chain and enjoy a hands on tour where you will put on a bee suit and get to see the hives close up.The tour is great fun for people of all ages, especially kids, and we can also cater for those attempting to face a fear of bees.
